So I went by our BC liquor store to pick up something when I came across this. Its Anchor Brewing Co.’s Christmas Ale. Intrigued by its packaging, I picked a bottle up and had a quick read what its all about.
This is the thirty-fifth “Our Special Ale” from the brewers at Anchor. It is sold only from early November to mid-January. The Ale’s recipe is different every year, but the intent with which we offer it remains the same: joy and celebration of the newness of life. Since ancient times, trees have symbolized the winter solstice when the earth, with its seasons, appears born anew.

I figured why not give this special seasonal drink a try.
And it turned out great. Ales have never been a drink a choice; however, this Christmas Ale that Anchor Brewing produced was fantastic. The drink was smooth, yet bold. It did not have any of the bitterness I find in a lot of ales.
If you are interested in trying an Ale out, I will recommend Anchor Brewing’s Christmas Ale. It’s a great drink to celebrate the wonderful Christmas season.
